Arizona Senate holds a public hearing to discuss the findings of the Arizona audit

Arizona Senate is holding a public hearing to potentially discuss the preliminary findings of the Arizona audit.

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann has scheduled a public briefing for Thursday with the leaders of the ongoing election audit that she authorized.

press release Wednesday announced that there would be a 10 a.m. “hearing,” but Fann said on Twitter that night it would be an “update and briefing” and “not the appropriate time for any testifying.”

Fann is joined by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Warren Petersen, Senate audit liaison Ken Bennett and the leaders of two of the vendors hired to conduct the audit, Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and CyFIR founder Ben Cotton.

Key findings from Arizona Senate hearing

  • There were 74,000 more ballots RECEIVED by Maricopa County during the 2020 election than the number of ballots sent out. (74,243 mail in ballots with no record of the county sending)
  • Ballots used on Election Day are thinner and inconsistent with the thicker security paper approved by the county.
  • Maricopa did not put serial numbers on original and duplicated ballots. (You cannot ensure they were accurately duplicated or how many times they were duplicated)
  • 11,326 voters NOT on voter rolls on November 7, but WERE on the voter roll on December 4, and were marked a VOTED in November 3 election.
  • Doug Logan: “Thousands of names were added to the voting rolls AFTER election day, but are recorded as casting a ballot in the 2020 election.”
