Nearly 60 Percent of Voters Worry About Joe Biden’s Mental and Physical Fitness

The majority of respondents are concerned about Vice President Joe Biden’s mental and physical health, according to a poll released on Thursday.

Scott Rasmussen and RMG Research conducted the survey, which questioned, “How concerned are you about the mental and physical health of President Joe Biden?”

Overall, 59 percent of respondents reported being anxious, with 39 percent identifying as “very worried” and 20 percent as “somewhat worried.”

Only 35% of respondents are not concerned, comprised of 18% who are “not very concerned” and 17% who are “not concerned at all.” Six percent are without opinion.

The poll also questioned, “What would happen if President Biden resigned and Kamala Harris became president?” Would that be an improvement or a detriment to the United States?”

47% feel the country would be worse off with Harris as president, while only 27% believe the country would be better off. 26% of respondents were uncertain.

The survey surveyed 1,200 voters between June 23 and 25, with a margin of error of +/- 2.8%.

Additional research reveals that a majority of Americans believe Biden is unqualified for the presidency and have doubts about his mental capacity, with 58 percent believing he should disclose his mental health condition to the public. A majority of voters anticipate that Harris will succeed Biden as president before the end of Biden’s first term.

Biden flashed a notecard containing specific instructions on how to function as commander-in-chief before to the polling. The notecard told Biden to enter the Roosevelt Room and greet the attendees. “YOU take YOUR seat”:

Biden has taken flak for his mental state. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said he should resign. “Joe Biden is unwell. He’s unfit for office. He’s incoherent, incapacitated & confused,” Scott said in a statement. “The most effective thing Joe Biden can do to solve the inflation crisis he created is to resign.”

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, along with Donald Trump’s former White House physician and now-Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), have also written a letter to Biden, demanding he take a cognitive test for fear that he may have Alzheimer’s disease.

Noting Biden’s “changes in mood and personality” and “forgetfulness,” the lawmakers said Biden’s cognitive ability has been declining and “is not just a recent trend” but has become more apparent “over the past two years.”
