Texas, Florida report fewer new cases of Covid-19 per capita than pro-mask states

According to the CDC’s April 23 results, Michigan recorded 449.2 cases of the virus per 100,000 people, or 44,862 overall, in the previous seven days. Gov. Tom Wolf’s (D) Pennsylvania has recorded 239.6 cases per 100,000 people in the last seven days, for a total of 30,678 cases.

In terms of documenting new virus cases, CDC data distinguishes New York City from the rest of the state. Despite this, New York City has recorded 208.1 new cases per 100,000 people in the last seven days, for a total of 17,475 cases. In the last seven days, the rest of the state recorded 191.9 cases per 100,000 people, or 21,213 cases. In the last seven days, the state registered 38,688 new incidents.
